It's late, but I finished that project!

And you know, I'm somewhat happy with what I did, which is the important thing.

I also have some new work I'm planning on posting and some character designs for a comic series. I thought for my first serial comic I should start with some pretty simple subject matter since with this work I'll likely be figuring a lot of stuff out. So I'm creating a simple "romance" or "slice of life" comic involving a college girl, the guy she likes and his girlfriend and all the other people they know. Really, It's about growing up and a loss of innocence (but not necessarily the sexual kind!)

I wanted to write a "romance" story where the main character makes her own decisions, especially when it comes to actively choosing a partner - as opposed to many popular romances. Often the heroine has to choose between two men and she winds up with the slightly less attractive, "best friend" type, instead of the more handsome more successful guy she was head over heels with in the beginning. (because pretty = jerk. Always.)

So I'm writing a story with the intention of playing with a lot of those common romance tropes and upending them when necessary.
